The following facilities are available for intimate elegant and romantic wedding ceremonies and receptions at any time of year:

  • 15th century chapel – available for blessings
  • 13th porch and Great Hall – licensed for civil ceremonies up to 60 people
  • Dining room – licensed for civil ceremonies up to 30 people
  • Porch room (the oldest room in the manor) – licensed for civil ceremonies up to 12 people
  • Annex – licensed for civil ceremonies up to 30 people
  • Library – available for the registrar’s interview
  • Bridal suite comprising bedroom, bathroom and dressing room – available for the bride and her bridesmaids use during the wedding day.
 In the summer, marquees are often constructed on the lawn, providing a garden wedding breakfast for up to 60 people. Greater numbers can  be accommodated, please contact us to discuss your requirements.The manor has accommodated many differing wedding wishes: from pig roasts to gastronomic feasts; simple cheese and fruit buffets to medieval banquets.

Caroline Hawkins of Sheldon Manor is happy to provide elegant and sophisticated illumination and decorations with fine food and wines to match, or put up yards of home-made bunting and serve the wine provided by the bride and groom.

Caroline is an exquisite host and personally manages the preparations and organises the events.  She has a team of suppliers who know the manor well and are used to working together, but she is perfectly happy to work with other suppliers required by the bride and groom, or source new suppliers if her own cannot provide what is required.
