Barton Place
| The second of three cottages in the recently renovated wing of this beautiful country house; Barton Place is in the middle and has three bedrooms: two double bedrooms and a children’s bedroom in the attic. Enter a graceful hallway with wooden floors, a leather settle, sprigs of greenery on a polished wood table. Smooth, painted walls and fine furniture, simple white blinds show off mullion windows, and pretty lampshades and fresh flowers create a comfortable elegance. You can prepare a meal in the small kitchen, and eat all together in the smart, carpeted dining room; next door is a wood-burning stove engulfed in a marble fireplace and soft sofas – just the place for tired legs. |
Tuck-up very little ones in the attic: there are two 2’6″ beds here under the eaves. Adults can sleep here but the beds are low and the head room limited. The attic is a short set of wooden steps away from the romantic double bedroom, complete with fresh white towels. The pretty bathroom has a roll-top bath. There is a cloakroom downstairs
One of the The Bothy’s double bedrooms can be interconnected with Barton Place if required, giving Barton Place three double bedrooms and a children’s bedroom. Furthermore the Bothy and Barton Place can be interconnected at both ground floor and first floor levels. This creates one residence with a total of four double bedrooms and one children’s bedroom. |
